With the 2025 National Signing Day having come and gone, one of the biggest counties in the state of Georgia in DeKalb County saw many high school football seniors sign to continue their careers at various colleges around the country.
Whether the schools the players are signing too are in the Power 4, Division I, Division II or Division III, kids from across DeKalb County etched their names into their schools history as they are now moving on to continue their athletic careers.
Out of the various high schools around the county, the Lithonia Bulldogs had nine players sign to play college football from last year’s team. Players such as Jalen Berry (Morehouse), Kayden Miller (Kenn. State), Jalen Renau-Wilkes (Delaware State), Musiq Oldun (Alabama A&M), Brent Johnson (Wheeling University), Tyler Cook (LaGrange College), Tyler Johnson (Culver Stockton), Robert Washington (East Mississippi CC), and Zechariah Ramsey (Missouri Valley) all put pen to paper on signing day.
Miller led the Bulldogs in receiving yards in 2024, totaling 405 yards on 29 receptions, adding four touchdowns through the air, totaling the second most all-purpose yards on the team.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Kennesaw State-commit, Miller tallied 24 tackles becoming a true playmaker for the Lithonia Bulldogs throughout the season.
Along with Lithonia, Stephenson High School had six players sign to colleges for next season including Romando Craddock (Tuskegee), Marcus Andrews (Johnson C. Smith), Matthew Rowland (Fayetteville State), Julius Favors (Fort Valley State), Jaaylen Alden (Georgia Military College) and Brandon Perkins (Virginia-Lynchburg).
Favors finished third on the team, registering over 280 receiving yards and caught two touchdowns during his senior season with the Jaguars.
DeKalb County registered two Division I signees in Lakeside defensive lineman Makhi Williams-Lee as he is on his way to Clemson and Samuel Turner of Southwest DeKalb as he is on his way to Auburn.
Williams-Lee looks to add to a stout Clemson defense that made the College Football Playoff last year as the Tigers allowed almost 280 yards per game.
Turner will help look to add a spark to an Auburn offense that will be returning high-profile pass-catchers such as Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson.
