Final Boys Basketball Rankings

In Class 6A, Wheeler supplanted itself at No. 1 with its championship run and victory over Newton in the finals. The runner-up Rams finish at No. 3 behind Grayson, which finished the season at No. 2 and have a win over Wheeler on its resume. McEachern and Pebblebrook round out the top 5 and Walton, Etowah, Norcross, Lambert and Buford all made the final top 10. Tri-Cities scored a 66-55 win over Woodward Academy in the Class 5A finals to close out the year at No. 1. Hughes finished at No. 3 behind Woodward Academy and Milton sits at No. 4 after a 21-8 season and tough 58-56 loss to Woodward Academy in the Sweet Sixteen.

In Class 3A, Sandy Creek closed out the year at No. 1 after defeating Cedar Grove 39-38 to win a third-straight state title. Monroe finished the year at No. 4 after serving No. 5 Pickens a 63-58 defeat in the second round before defeating No. 9 Jefferson a 73-43 loss in the Elite Eight. Butler close out No. 1 in Class 2A with a 57-49 win over Union County in the finals. No. 1 overall seed Carver-Columbus (27-3) finished at No. 2 after dropping a 78-73 loss to Butler in the semifinals and Union County (26-6)—which was the No. 6 overall seed heading into the playoffs finished the season at No. 3 after its run to the finals.

In Class A Div. I, B.E.S.T. Academy prevailed as a No. 15 seed and finished at No. 1 after scoring a 62-56 win over Southwest in the finals. Savannah defeated No. 2 McIntosh County Academy in the finals for No. 1 in Class A Div. II and Holy Innocents completed a wire-to-wire run to the Class A-3A Private state title to open the season at No. 1 and finish at No. 1 after maintaining that position in every poll this season.
