Volleyball Recruiting Blog: Top Class of 2026 Commits

Sofia Guerro-Wilson is considered the highest-rated prospect and at 6-foot-2, she is going to be a key piece to Norcross’ team this season. Guerro-Wilson posted a career-best 280 kills in just 80 sets played last season and has 786 career kills heading into this year. Her 18 kills against Buford in the playoffs helped Norcross defeat the Wolves 3-2 and she came up with 12 kills against state champion Alpharetta and helped the Blue Devils take a set against the Raiders for the first time in 12 matches. Guerro-Wilson is committed to play at Cincinnati next year. Buford’s 5-foot-11 outside hitter Clara Briley is also committed to play for the Bearcats. Last year, Briley led Buford with 271 kills and she has tallied 835 career kills heading into her senior season. Briley is flanked by 6-foot-1 outside-hitter Morgan Sanders—a Brown commit. Briley led Woodward Academy as a freshman with 140 kills and will be an experienced returning star this year for the Wolves.

Pace Academy has a pair of committed players with Olivia Siskin (Virginia) and Gabrielle Emch (Colgate). Blessed Trinity’s Ruby McDermott is also committed to Virginia and will be competing in Class 4A this season with her future college teammate.

Marietta outside hitter Ryan Sadler is also one of the highest-rated prospects in the Class of 2026 and is listed as a four-star. The Blue Devils standout grew to 6-foot this last season and has recently committed to Kansas to play at the next level. She is listed as a four-star prospect and competes on the the 18-1s Marc A5 Club team.

In terms of Alpharetta, the Raiders had five D1 players on last year’s team, but still have a wealth of talent returning. Among these names is Kailey Leonard—who recently committed to play for Tulane. Leonard has won state titles in each of the last two seasons. In 2023-24, she posted 308 digs in 85 sets played and she added 368 digs last year in 91 sets—improving to a 4.0 dig per set average from her 3.6 mark as a sophomore.

Alpharetta has been the best team in the state for the last two years, but for years it has been Walton at the top of the volleyball world. The Raiders program has won 15 state titles since 1998 and won 10 championships in a 12-year span from 2010-21. Additionally, Walton has enjoyed deep playoff runs in the years that they haven’t been crowned champs. This upcoming season, Class of 2026 returning starter Ella Cobb will be a major player to watch. The junior defensive specialist accounted for 397 digs this past season in her first full season starting for the Raiders along with Duquesne-commit Simone Searles.
