No. 6 Carrollton handed No. 1 (5A) Hughes its second loss of the season in a 54-52 win.

In Class 5A, there is a new No.1 at the top with River Ridge taking the spot for the first time in the new year. River Ridge picked up wins over Sequoyah and Lassiter this past week. No. 2 Hughes went 1-1 this week, defeating Northgate and suffering its second loss of the season against Carrollton. Woodward Academy, Morrow, and Milton round out the top five. Tri-Cities, Bradwell Institute, Creekview, Pope, and Coffee round out the top 10.

No. 1 Creekside secured victories against Southridge (FL) and Midtown to stay atop Class 4A. Marist, Warner Robins, Kell, and North Oconee round out the top five. It has nothing to do with Jackson-Atlanta but I think North Oconee has proved with a 19-1 record they should be in the top five. Jackson-Atlanta, Jones County, Midtown, Ware County and Stockbridge round out the top 10.

No. 1 Pickens picked up victories against Lumpkin County and North Hall this past week to stay ranked atop Class 3A. Jefferson, Luella, Oconee County, and Fayette County round out the top five.
