Week 3 Girls Soccer Rankings

There were a few changes throughout each classification three weeks into the girls soccer season and in Class 6A, it was one of the few classifications that remained stable, with the only major changes being Brookwood continuing its early-season rise to No. 6 and Lambert making its debut in the rankings at No. 10.

The 5A rankings saw significant movement, with only four teams staying in place. Pope fell to No. 4, allowing Lassiter and Northgate to move up to No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Alexander dropped to No. 9, while Johns Creek and Habersham Central moved up to No. 7 and No. 8.

In Class 4A, Blessed Trinity and Northside-Columbus climbed to No. 2 and No. 3, while Westminster and Midtown fell to No. 6 and No. 7 after slow starts to the season. Two teams made their debuts in the rankings this week, with Harris County coming in at No. 9 and Allatoona debuting at No. 10.

Class 3A remained mostly unchanged, except for Harlem and Northwest Whitfield, which saw the biggest shifts. Harlem moved up from No. 10 to No. 7, while Northwest Whitfield dropped from No. 7 out of the rankings, allowing Southeast Bulloch to move up to No. 10.

Class 2A remained nearly identical to the previous rankings, with the only change being Shaw falling out. This move pushed Pierce County up to No. 9 and Sonoraville into the No. 10 spot.

In Class A-DI, Toombs County climbed from No. 7 to No. 5 after a strong 4-1 start. Woodville-Tompkins made its rankings debut at No. 10 following a 6-1 start to the season.

In Class A-DII, Lake Oconee Academy dropped from No. 1 to No. 5 after a 1-2 start. Georgia Military jumped from No. 10 to No. 6 after an impressive week. Wheeler County fell from No. 8 out of the rankings, making way for Irwin County to enter the rankings.

In the A-3A Private Classification, the Savannah duo of Savannah Arts and Savannah Country Day climbed to No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Paideia dropped out of the rankings after a slow 1-2 start, making room for Whitefield Academy to take its place.
