Who attended the 2025 NFL Combine? Thirty players from high schools around the state competed in Indianapolis

The 2025 NFL Combine this year in Indianapolis featured 329 players and a whopping 12% either played high school football in the Georgia or went to the University of Georgia.

Some notable names out of the state include former North Gwinnett players Jared Ivey, Barrett Carter, and Jordan Hancock.

Ivey is the No.1-ranked edge in the draft in terms of athleticism and has the skillset to show for it. The talent found in Georgia high school football is a consistent indicator in the future of the NFL. Current players like Kareem Jackson, Kalif Raymond, and Darius Slayton all once were stand out players on the high school level in the state.

Carter, a Suwannee-native, tested well at the combine with an impressive 34.5” vertical, showing a 9’8” broad jump and a 4.41 20-yd shuttle time. The two-time All-American is looking to work his way into the starting linebacker role with an NFL team in the future.

The most notable name out of the state of Georgia in this year’s draft is Colorado two-way star, Travis Hunter. The Heisman winner may have been born in West Palm Beach, FL but he cut his teeth right here at Collins Hill. The former 5-star recruit began his college career at Jackson State before transferring to Colorado and winning the Heisman trophy.

In all there was a total of 30 players coming out of Georgia High School Football in this year’s NFL Combine. One quarterback, two running backs, six wide receivers, four offensive linemen, seven defensive linemen, four linebackers, five defensive ends and one ATH.
